CoolVu of College Station Provides a Prime Example of Why We Value Community Engagement
Summer is at its peak; for community members that need to work outside, these days can spell exhaustion and dehydration. For our police officers — who spend most of their days outside in full uniform — these threats only increase in severity.
Sometimes, all a community needs is a chance to cool off.
CoolVu of College Station rented a Kona Ice truck to give police officers and their families sweet relief from the brutal Texas heat. At CoolVu, we’re committed to giving back to our community. CoolVu of College Station is a shining example of these company values.
CoolVu’s philanthropy has made a notable impact on the community. KBTX 3 recognized that impact in a news segment, reported by Rusty Surette, an award-winning reporter and multi-time regional Emmy nominee.
The segment features footage from the exciting event, highlighting CoolVu’s commitment to community involvement.

When interviewed during the segment, Co-Owner of CoolVu College Station, Clayton Summerall, explained his rationale for the event.
“CoolVu hosted this event today just to show our appreciation to our officers and give back to the community,” says Clayton. “We are absolutely trying to be a staple in the community and we think the best way to do that is to partner with those who have our back…so let’s show them we have theirs.
This Kona ice truck event wasn’t the first time CoolVu of College Station gave back to the community. Also reported on by KBTX 3, CoolVu of College Station additionally gave back during Teacher Appreciation Week, delivering over one thousand donuts to 19 different schools, including Creek View and Pebble Creek Elementary school.
